! NOTE !
Like most 'LINKS' pages on the web, there will, no doubt,
be more and more dead links on this page over time.
It may be years at a time before I return to this page to
remove dead links and replace some links with better links.
In the meantime, try 'WEB SEARCH' links provided on this page.

INTRODUCTION : This page is a list of names of musicians and groups/bands --- in numero-alphabetic order. Simply click on a musician/band name to do a WEB SEARCH that will generally provide sites that have lists of names of their songs and/or albums. This list is meant as a way of refreshing one's memory about music and musicians. In particular, this list is meant to help find songs that you might like to hear --- again or for the first time. Most of these names are in the 'pop' (rock, alternative, country) categories rather than 'classical' or 'jazz' or 'rap' categories. There is a bias towards musicians & bands of the 1960's and 1970's --- tailing off into the 1980's and 1990's. The names of musicians here are generally listed with their first name first --- for example, "John Lennon" rather than "Lennon, John". You can use an option like 'Find in This Page ...' of your web browser to find a last name or alternate name in this list. Example: Find 'jovi' to find any 'Bon Jovi' or 'Jon Bon Jovi' entries. The names of groups are generally listed without the "the" in front --- for example, "Beatles, The" or simply "Beatles" is used, rather than "The Beatles". Additions may be made --- as I use the list and discover some names that are missing and that I would like to add.

MUSICIAN - 'WEB DIRECTORY' pages
< Go to Table of Contents, above. >
It seems that 'web directories' are dying out. Google and Yahoo closed theirs down around 2014. Then around 2017, the directory from which the Google and Yahoo web-directories were spawned --- the DMOZ "Open Directory Project" --- closed down. It seems that it is just not feasible for a team of people to keep up with all the sites that are going dead and the new sites that appear. About a year after the dmoz.org site closed down, it appears that a new web-directory site --- curlie.org --- arose from the ashes of 'dmoz.org'. It remains to be seen how long that web-directory lasts. Following are a few links related to 'web directory' sites.
