1. Dynex 3.5" PATA (IDE) Hard Drive enclosure

Used first to backup wife's files from the Emachines computer's disk drive --- to husband's HomeBuilt-01 Ubuntu 9.10 computer --- on the root drive.

(The Emachine's computer was bought at BestBuy ~2006 --- for ~$450, without monitor.)

Then used to transfer wife's files to the new Dell as explained on a computer-notes web page [link to go here].
