INTRODUCTION: Below are images of Caricatures --- of Barack Obama (Wikipedia link). It was surprising to me that there were already at least fifty different caricatures of him before he was even elected president --- and inaugurated in January 2009. Apparently, there are way more caricaturists around the world than I thought. And they are apparently just waiting to pounce on the next celebrity. These drawings are collected here because they are really amusing --- and, in some cases, the art work is simply fantastic. The choice of which head and facial features to emphasize is of interest. Also, it is of interest how the artist chose to emphasize those features. Some of the images demonstrate amazing artistry --- with great color shading --- and highlights and glossiness. You can simply scroll down this page --- to spot pictures of interest. And .. you can go to a section of WEB SEARCH Links at the bottom of this page --- to find more Obama caricatures.

Ways to View the images : Each image is shown scaled to a width proportional to the width of your browser window. Each image is a link to a new window (or tab) that shows the image at its natural size. Click on any image to see it in a separate window. Alternatively: In most browsers, you can click the right mouse button when the cursor is over a link. Then, in the resulting pop-up menu, you can choose to open the link in a separate window --- or save the image to your local computing device --- or a number of other options. Close (or minimize) the separate window(s) to access this window again. If you hold the mouse cursor over a image, a small pop-up 'balloon' will provide a brief description of the image, with the pixel-size indicated. (These pop-ups should work in most web browsers.)
