This Exotic Car Pictures page

INTRODUCTION:

I was motivated to collect photos of cars because I had a friend in college, circa 1963, who was really into sports cars and local sports car races --- in Houston, Texas.

He had a little English-made MGB sports car in which we spanned half of the United States one summer --- going from Houston to Southern California ( Oceanside) and then to North Dakota, and back down to Texas.

He got me interested in sports car magazines such as 'Car and Driver'.

In the summer of 1969, I hitch-hiked around Europe (with a different friend) --- and in France, I saw a Formula 1 sports car race in Clermont-Ferrand.

The high-pitched noise of the engines of those Formula 1 cars, as they whizzed by, was a sound to remember.

Bottom line:
I have had an interest in sports cars (and unusual cars) ever since. I am no mechanic, but I am especially drawn to the exterior design of cars. Hence the following pictures.

How to Navigate the images :

You can simply scroll down this page to view the images.

OR ... you can use the 'Find Text' option of your web browser to look for 'keywords' on this page --- such as the name of the maker of a car.

For example, you can use the string 'lambo' to find photos of Lamborghinis.

OR . . . you can click car-maker-name links (below) to go to images of cars of that manufacturer.

For example, to go to Bugatti cars, click on the link named 'Bugatti'.

Ways to View the images :

Each photo is shown scaled to a width proportional to the width of your browser window.

Each photo is a link to a new window (or tab) that shows the image at its natural size. Click on any photo to see it in a separate window.

Close (or minimize) the separate window(s) to access this window again.

If you hold the mouse cursor over a photo, a small pop-up 'balloon' will provide a brief description of the photo, with the pixel-size indicated. (These pop-ups should work in most web browsers.)

Most of the images are medium- to high-resolution --- more than 500 pixels wide.
