INTRODUCTORY NOTES on Bargain (sub-$350) *LAPTOP* Computers - BIGGER THAN 14 inch screen : NOTE: Most of laptops in these 'computer bargain lists' include a DVD/CD read-write drive --- and most weigh at least 4.9 pounds (more than 2.2 kilograms), due mostly to the large screen (and the DVD drive). In contrast, 'netbooks' do not usually have a DVD/CD drive, and most netbooks weigh less that 3.5 pounds. And typically the screen of a 'netbook' is less than 14 inches diagonally. Most of the laptops in these 'computer bargain lists' are equipped with both wired and wireless ethernet connection options. In contrast, 'Chromebooks' do not usually have a 'wired' ethernet connection.
